Who am i ?
First-year student in Multimedia and Internet Professions (MMI) at the IUT Nord Franche-Comté in Montbéliard.This project was created as part of the first Situation of Learning and Assessment (SAÉ) of the semester, to master web design, editorial content, and project management.
Why “The Matilda Effect”?
The goal was to build a digital platform honoring the memory of women scientists whose contributions were historically minimized or credited to male colleagues.This is the heart of the Matilda Effect—a phenomenon that especially impacts science and innovation.
Why Katherine Johnson ?
I chose to spotlight the story of Katherine Johnson, whose extraordinary mathematical skills were crucial to NASA’s - and humanity’s - success in space exploration.Her path illustrates not just the Matilda Effect but also the fight against racial and gender segregation.
